In some spots it’s only 2", but in others it’s 4" higher than the yard. The driveway is 200′ long and has some curves in it.
Planting some low level evergreen bushes to draw your eyes away from the edge of the driveway would help. Planting evergreens will provide a draw year round.

I’d probably put mulch along side and plant low growing ground cover such as pachysandras.

I would probably put in some sort of edging and a pea gravel with a gradual slope to even things out. You could plant some flowers every few feet, of varying heights, to add dimension.
